   PIPER LEE ALEXANDER

Piper and Paige joined our family in December 2006. They are sisters and just love each other so much.

When we decided that we were going to get ONE FEMALE to join our family we searched for ONE that had no connection to Beauregard in lineage. The girls lineage is from Hungry. Well, we found what we thought was the ideal ONE and low and behold we couldn’t decide between Piper and Paige so we got them both, and so very glad we did!

Piper is the aloof one of the two and the smaller, and if there was an award for Miss Independent well she wins it in our household. She loves everyone especially if you rub her tummy! She loves to play with the others too BUT do not get near her food or her chew bone as she tells the others ‘this is mine, back off!’ hehehhehehhehe

Piper is the mommy of our first litter of beautiful Cavaliers. We didn’t know what to expect being her first litter. By day 30 of her pregnancy she looked as if she was ready to have them so we called her Doctor who said lets have the x-ray at 45 days. Well to our surprise, for her first litter she was going to have 6! Now the next thing to worry about was she going to go the 63 days. Well no she didn’t; 58 days and the temp dropped to tell us it was time. We didn’t know how she was going to go as most dams with first litters but she was a little gem and out popped 6 healthy babies, first 1 female Blenheim, then 4 Tri males and lastly  1 Blenheim male ranging in weight from 6 - 9 ounces.

What also surprised us with Piper was that she was not possessive of her babies; she didn’t mind daddy or the other members going near her babies but if they cried or made any sort of noise she was right there as any good mommy should be. What a relief that was for us, no 2 hour feedings except the clean up when they got older. hehehehehe
